MEET THE FOUNDER

Gentle guidance for kidney wellness

I'm Linda Mitchell, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in renal nutrition — and I built this site for the version of you sitting in the parking lot after a CKD diagnosis, trying to figure out what to do next.

Linda Mitchell, RDN

Linda`s journey

When my father was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, our family was handed a cold list of restrictions that made every meal feel like a threat. The joy of eating together vanished overnight. That experience is what pushed me to specialize in renal nutrition.

I knew there had to be a gentler way. Collaborating with specialized renal dietitians, we transformed our kitchen into a space of abundance, replacing salt with vibrant herbs and fear with flavor.

My path into renal nutrition didn't start in a classroom. It started at a kitchen table, watching a family member try to make sense of a CKD diagnosis with almost no clear guidance .

Since then, I've worked clinically with CKD patients across every stage — from the first shock of a new diagnosis to years into long-term management. What I've seen, over and over, is that patients don't fail because they lack discipline.

They struggle because no one ever gave them a clear starting point .

How I can help you

Bridging the gap between your nephrology visit and your actual kitchen.

I handle the daily reality

What actually goes on your plate, how to read a label, how to track without spiraling — the day-to-day questions a 10-minute visit rarely has time for.

Small shifts, not overhauls

Sustainable change comes from one adjusted habit at a time, not a complete rewrite of your life the week you're diagnosed.

Clinical care handles the disease

Your nephrologist manages labs, medications, and the medical side of your diagnosis — that's their job, and it matters

Credentials You Can Trust

Clinical experience paired with genuine lived empathy — not just a degree on a wall.

I wish my own family had.
